Kolbenova Metro Station

Kolbenova is a station on Prague metro line B on the way from the centre to Cerny Most. It is 3 stops from Palmovka, 6 stops from Florenc, and 8 stops from Mustek (Wenceslas Square). Neighbouring stations are Vysocanska and Hloubetin.

Location

Kolbenova Station is located in Kolbenova Street in Vysocany district. This part of Prague used to be known as an industrial zone and you can still find some older and newer factory complexes in the surroundings of the metro station, although some parts of Vysocany district have been rebuilt as residential areas in the recent years.

Metro Service

It takes from 10 to 15 minutes to get from Kolbenova Station to various places in Prague city centre. Intervals between trains are 2-10, depending on time of day; the metro operates every day from about 5 am to midnight. Some trains on line B coming from the centre terminate at Ceskomoravska (2 stops earlier) and don’t go to Kolbenova.

Tram and Bus Services

There is a tram stop directly in front of the metro station entrance. The trams also go to the city centre, although it takes much longer than by metro.

More public transport options are available at Vysocanska Station, which is one metro stop from Kolbenova (it’s better to walk actually). There are local and regional buses and regional trains.
