Oriente Metro Station

Oriente station on the red (vermelha) line of Lisbon metro is situated in Parque das Nacoes in the north-eastern part of Lisbon in the Expo 98 development area. It is part of Lisbon Oriente station, which also includes a long-distance train station, a bus station and Vasco de Gama shopping centre.

Oriente Metro Station Location

The metro station is situated directly under the train station, which is in the area between Avenida Dom Joao II, Via Reciproca and Avenida Berlim. The bus terminal is to the west, Vasco de Gama shopping centre to the east.

Metro Services from Oriente Station

Until 2012 Oriente Station was the terminus of the red line (vermelha). This line’s other name is Linha do Oriente. In 2012 the line was extended to Lisbon International Airport (Portela Airport, LIS), which is only 3 stops away.

In the other direction, Oriente Station is 6 stops from Alameda Station (transfer to the green line, which takes you to the historical centre), 7 stops from Saldanha Station (change to yellow line) and 8 stops from Sao Sebastiao (blue line).

Neighbouring stations are Cabo Ruivo (towards the centre) and Moscavide (towards the airport).
