Pankrac Metro Station

Pankrac is a station on Prague metro line C (the red line) between Prazskeho Povstani and Budejovicka.

It is located in Pankrac district, on a small hill just south of Prague inner city. Pankrac is known as the location of the tallest buildings in Prague and the surroundings of the station are an important business district. There is also a shopping centre, Arkady Pankrac, next to the metro station entrance.

Major streets near Pankrac Metro Station are Budejovicka, Na Strzi, Na Pankraci, and also 5. kvetna (5 May Street), which is a section of the “magistrala”, the main north-south highway running through Prague.

Pankrac is still very close to the inner city: only 4 stops from Wenceslas Square (Muzeum Station), about 7 minutes by metro. Intervals between trains on line C are the shortest of all Prague metro lines, below 2 minutes during the morning and afternoon peak. Off peak intervals range from 3-4 minutes to 10 minutes late in the evening. Operating hours of Prague metro are approximately 5 am to midnight every day.
