FREE cancellation on most rooms
Seefeld is a popular resort and busy both in summer and winter season. There are a large number of excellent 4 star hotels, apartment houses and chalets with wide range of amenities and stunning views. That said, if you are looking for the truly luxury hotels, the best of the best, the selection is quite limited.
There are two places marked as 5 star hotels directly in Seefeld. Both offer an exclusive, luxury experience, but their styles and personalities are quite different.
Hotel Klosterbräu (the name literally means Monastery Brewery) is situated in the very centre of Seefeld, right where the church tower is. The premises were built in the 16th century as a moanstery and now redesigned as a luxury hotel with all modern comfort, while retaining a historical feel. The rooms are furnished with the kind of furniture you would expect in a palace in Vienna or Salzburg. The common areas, including the restaurant, feature vaulted ceilings and thick stone walls (one advantage of the fine structure and thick walls is lack of noise and complete privacy). The hotel’s restaurant caters to various tastes and needs, including a 7-course dinner and a wine cellar. There is also a large indoor pool with a fireplace directly next to it, an outdoor pool, and an extensie wellness area with award-winning saunas, steam bath and two private saunas. If you are looking for comfort in style and for _the_ best and most prestigious hotel in Seefeld, this is it. Room rates obviously vary depending on season/weekends/holidays and type of room. Typical price for a double room outside of the busiest times, with half board included, is 300-350 euros. Note that this hotel can be sold out very long in advance; it is best to book early and take advantage of free cancellation (check conditions when booking) if plans change.
This one lacks the historical feel; it is designed in a modern style, while maintaining a luxury mountain retreat feel. It is located in a quieter part of Seefeld, but only some 7 minutes walk from the very centre (there is also a free bus, but the walk is really short). The main focus of Astoria Hotel is wellness, relaxation and fine dining. Wellness and sport activities are not limited to the world class amenities inside the hotel (including connected indoor and outdoor pool, heated all year round, and a 2000 sqm spa area, as well as massages and various beauty treatments). There is also convenient access to outdoor activities right in front of the hotel. Seefeld and the surroundings feature literally hundreds of km of trails and routes for walking, hiking, Nordic walking, cycling and cross-country skiing, with some of the best Alpine views. The hotel offers equipment, service and guided tours for all these, including a ski waxing and service station. The hotel’s award winning restaurant offers a rich breakfast (served until 11am), various buffets, fine wines and 5 or 6 course dinners. As the name suggests, Astoria offers above all relaxation in the best possible environment with world-class service. Normally priced similar to Hotel Klosterbräu above, sometimes (usually when booking well in advance) you can get a rare deal in the 200+ euro range.
