Lovely quiet location, Excellent dinner and breakfast, very comfortable bed. Beautiful historic building. Room was huge.
Some of the fittings may be old but they suit the building. Good value too.

We thought we had booked a twin room, but when we booked in it was double. However, the staff switched us over very quickly and easily.
We were also able to leave a vehicle on site for a while, even though we had checked out because of a change in our circumstances. Everyone was very helpful.

Location was absolutely ideal for us. Room (first floor to the left of entrance) was spacious and with view of trees and driveway.
Hot tub was lovely (although the jets aren't at all strong enough).
Staff lovely, room nice breakfast good. Restaurant mediocre. Access to Accessible room was through a lit of doors and some difficult to negotiate which is hard for someone with disabilities. . This hotel is under refurbishment so access to patio gardens etc not available. Was not given this information at time of booking. Blood stained duvet.

Breakfast average, poor value and I have a wheat allergy which the waitress didn't understand really.
Evening meal was fairly good, little expensive for what it was.
Good side dining room restaurant was very quiet evening and morning

Worst service ever.
Worst service ever. No table available for evening meal, room was freezing cold, one small heater in bedroom was off on arrival and took ages to warm up. No heating in bathrooms whatsoever, staff fed us a load of bu#@$hit and did not deliver what they promised. Would never stay again.

The hotel is alright, rooms are spacious and bed comfortable. The price is misleading, because you'll probably will go there by car, and you'll have to pay the parking. And breakfast is highly overpriced for what it is.
They have a policy from the lockdown times to NOT TO CLEAN THE ROOMS! So they save money on cleaning staff, but if you go to Reception and you ask them to clean your room or, at least to take the rubbish from the bins, you'll be asked to put it in a bag and leave it at the door! So do not expect any extra effort on the customer service side. Is a take it or leave it. A pity that nice facilities are so badly managed!

The car park is open to a public park and looks shabby on arrival. The reception area is nice and the bar pleasant. My room was large but the bathroom was dated, no pressure in the above bath shower head. Struggled to get hot water from sink to shave so reverted to boiling the kettle.
Great welcome from Lizzie (Hotel Supervisor) - positive, interested in us, and helpful.
Room much bigger than a typical Ibis, but my research suggests that Ibis took over this property from Travelodge which explains the room size difference (They and Premier Inn usually have bigger rooms).
Nice to have a big bath.
Slept well, quiet at night, Nearby eating and drinking facilities which we enjoyed.
We got a cheery 'bye bye, have a good day etc' from the male receptionist as we departed; also better than the average.
MoreWhat I liked.
Arriving on the Friday evening the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. We had our evening meal in the bar area and chose from the bar menu.
The food arrived in good time and was of good quality. I chose the burger and it was very tasty and not dry at all as hotel burgers tend to be.
Breakfast was of good quality and there were more than enough to choose from. The pool, gym and general spa area was clean and well equipped.
Staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. I called the hotel to ensure that I could have a ground floor room if possible with easy access for my mom. This was confirmed by the friendly and informative receptionist. Check in was easy and the room was very clean, well ventilated and well stocked. Breakfast was socially distanced and the process was explained by the staff. All in all we had a great stay and will certainly be booking here again.
Stunning venue, we were upgraded to the bridal suite for no extra charge- unbelievable room! Lovely meal at night and breakfast in the morning. Some comments stated that it was noisy as near the motorway - we had no problems at all with noise and I am a light sleeper!
Grounds were stunning and the town of bromsgrove also pleasant for shopping the next day.
You can tell it would be a stunning wedding venue.
Great place to stay - beautiful old hotel with loads of character but very comfortable. Near motorway but you can hardly hear it.We slept very well. Friendly helpful staff and very good food. We had dinner as well as breakfast. Both were excellent. It also has lovely grounds that guests can walk around. Very good value - you could spend as much or more for a bland chain hotel.
The lovely welcome from the lady on Reception, the spotlessly clean public areas and my room and bathroom. A lovely, comfy bed, plenty of storage space, the cleanest bath I have ever used in an hotel, and the location - minutes on foot from the train station. Thank you to all who work so hard to keep this hotel so lovely.
Bed was comfortable and room was well appointed. But we received no service -- our rooms were not made up or cleaned the 2nd day, the coffees/teas/towels were therefore not replenished. For a hotel striving to be a luxury spa location, it's rather shocking that there would be no basic housekeeping service for the rooms.
Clean spacious rooms. Comfy beds, exceptionally clean bed linen. Everything we needed in our rooms. I was worried our rooms would smell of pets as we needed pet friendly rooms and I was extremely happy that they didn't and were so clean. Thank you for an excellent hotel.
Location was fine, about a mile from the centre of Bromsgrove, but a pleasant walk. Staff were all excellent, very helpful and our rooms were opposite each other as requested. Amble car parking, a good lift but not too many stairs.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was amazing and again the staff were super attentive. Honestly we weren’t expecting a lot from the outside look of the hotel but we were very pleasantly impressed
pleasant room and a comfy bed. Everything available you needed for comfort with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer. As well as big comfy towels. TV with good channel choice
