THere are quite a few nice places to drink and eat, lovely by the river but remember mosquito spray! Parking can be tricky in certain areas but you will eventually find somewhere without double yellow lines, unless yoru hotel comes with parking!
The hotel state on their website that there is free parking. This is untrue. The free parking is roadside anywhere up the street. Being a female and pensioner, arriving in the dark there was no where to park. I drove around several streets. Eventually I parked on double yellow lines and asked at the hotel in case I had missed the parking area and the response was that guests need to park in the street. I told them that I would be unable to stay due to safety and the response back was extremely unsupportive.
Nice spacious room, comfy beds. Decent shower and facilities with the room. Breakfast was lovely all local produce and plentiful. We also had dinner before we went to the venue we were attending. The dinner was plentiful also, great big portions and VFM. The staff were at tentative at dinner time. The chicken peri peri was delightful and the chicken fell off the bone. Yep a lovely little hotel.
A hotel that needs some tlc. Probably lived up to the star rating when first opened. Once the room key could be found I went into a room that hadnt been cleaned/bedding changed since the previous guest. The chap in the bar, to his credit, then had to clean and sort out the room. Bedding didnt smell very fresh and the pillows were very poor quality. Covid cleanliness was a concern.
Fantastic location on Thames Street, Sunbury on Thames, just 2 minutes walk from the River Thames. Quiet location - a village-like feeling, with a choice of facilities nearby. Good bar area with outside seating, although the tables are adjacent to the main road. The marvelous Sunbury Memorial Gardens 5 minutes away. Good breakfast included in the price.
Very useful location for our trip – with pleasant Thames-side location.
The hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is good and Inexpensive by London standards.
If you’re looking to explore the Richmond - Hampton Court side of London this is a good recommendation.
Location fabulous, good choice at breakfast and nicely cooked. We were up in room 8 which was up at the top of the hotel. Doors and beams a little low but we learnt to deal with that. Bit dusty in places but apart from that room was fine. Very very hot weekend but fan in room helped with that. All in all a nice 4 day stay
This small hotel was a wonderful discovery. I traveled alone for work and found this little hotel to be clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with different warm and cold options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I also had dinner at the pub of the hotel, everything was delicious.
The staff was so helpful and friendly. They gave us great recommendations for getting into London for a day and how best to get to the airport. Having a pub right there made it easy for meal time and the food was really good. Having a fan in the room was a plus.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming from the off, and we were delighted with both our rooms and the service, options, and food in the restaurant. The cooked breakfast options were imaginative.
boutique hotel in popular area of Sunbury. Local pub with great beer and food. On a main road but not overly noisy. Family run hotel and staff very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.
