Best Areas to Stay in Naples
Naples is a big city, but the centre where most tourist attractions are located is not that large. There are three main areas considered good places to stay in Naples:
Centro Storico (Historical Centre)
As the name suggests, Centro Storico has the highest concentration of historical monuments and sights. It is the best area to stay in Naples for sightseeing, atmosphere, dining, and shopping.
Chiaia
Chiaia is the area on the sea coast next to Centro Storico. It is also very pleasant, close to the attractions, and some of the hotels have great views of the sea and Vesuvius.
The Area around Naples Central Station (Stazione Centrale)
Maybe the highest concentration of hotels in Naples is in the streets near the Central Train Station. It is immediately to the east/northeast of Centro Storico.
