Swietokrzyska Metro Station

Swietokrzyska is one of the busiest transport hubs in Warsaw and the transfer station between the two metro lines, M1 and M2. It is located in the city centre at the junction of Swietokrzyska Street and Marzalkowska Street.

Important Buildings near Swietokrzyska Station

The station is one of the two metro stations closest to the Palace of Culture and Science (the other is Centrum, the next stop on line M1). You can see the Palace immediately when you exit the metro – it is to the south-west from the station, next to Swietokrzyski Park. The square in front of the palace and between Swietokrzyska and Centrum metro stations is Plac Defilad (Parade Square), one of the main squares in Warsaw.

Other important buildings near Swietokrzyska station include the National Philharmonic, Teatr Kwadrat or the Polish National Bank.

Neighbouring stations on metro line M1 are Centrum and Ratusz Arsenal. Neighbouring stations on line M2 are Rondo ONZ and Nowy Swiat – Uniwersytet.

Swietokrzyska metro station is within easy walking distance from Warsaw central train station (Dworzec Centralny), which is just on the other side of the Palace of Culture and Science.
